Freeman Chorus Ensembles
MAVERICK SINGERS
Maverick Singers is our treble voice standstill choir that performs a variety of music from different time periods, cultures, and styles.
Singers in this group do not need to audition. Students who chose to take Maverick Singers for more than one year, may take the class for honors credit.
Open to grade 9-12
MEN'S CHOIR
Men’s Chorus is our tenor and bass choir. It is the brother group to Maverick Singers. They sing a variety of music from different time periods, cultures, and styles that are specifically chosen with the changed tenor/bass voice in mind.
Students who chose to take Men’s Chorus for more than one year, may take the class for honors credit.
Open grade 9-12
FESTIVAL CHOIR
Festival Choir is a highly select, mixed chamber ensemble, performing advanced high school and collegiate choral repertoire from various styles, languages, and time periods.
Students have had extensive prior singing experience and must successfully complete a rigorous vocal audition. Option to receive honors credit.
Open to grade 10-12
HARMONY IN MOTION
Freeman’s Show Choir, Harmony in Motion, is the only treble show choir in Henrico County and one of three competitive show choirs in HCPS. It is a co-curricular class where students spend time during and outside of school hours to prepare a competition set of dance and song. Show Choir students also participate in all chorus department performances.
Students interested in show choir must complete a successful dance and vocal audition. Option to receive honors credit.
